Rae Litting was born in Melbourne. She completed an arts degree at Sydney University and became a teacher. The Kidnap of Alice McGilvray is Rae's first published novel. Rae was a finalist in the NSW Writers' Centre and New Holland Publishers' Genre Fiction Award. Rae now lives in Epping.
